To be fair, the real verisimilitude problem with Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed et al. is that their protagonists are typically depicted as being really good at the super-advanced parkour and free-climbing stuff while simultaneously being really bad at the basics.

Granted, a lot of that is due to game engine limitations, but still: it’s kind of comical to watch Mr. Badass Assassin perform a stunt that a world-class free-running expert would be pressed to replicate, then immediate be completely stymied by an obstacle than, in the real world, would scarcely challenge your average twelve-year-old.
